Mileage
Mileage Cost covers the expenses that your carer incurs traveling to and from your home. It is a reimbursement of your carers fuel costs and an allowance for the maintenance, depreciation, insurance and repairs to their vehicle
Mileage is calculated at a rate of 0.45p per mile
The Mileage Cost is calculated from your carers home to your home
If your carer is providing care for several different individuals in a day the cost is calculated from their previous appointment to your home
If your carer changes or your carers daily appointment schedule changes the Mileage Costs that we seek to reimburse from you will change
We can agree a fixed Mileage Cost based on the per mile cost if you prefer

To ensure we can deliver your care safely and effectively, there may be occasions where certain costs arise that are not included in our standard fees. These may include:

• Outings and excursions, where your carer accompanies you—such as travel by public transport or taxi, entry to venues like the cinema or theatre, or meals taken while out.
• Third-party expenses directly related to your care, such as car parking charges if off-road parking is not available at your home.
Where possible, we kindly ask that these costs are covered at the time of purchase. If that’s not feasible, we will include them in your next invoice and retain receipts for transparency.
We’re committed to being clear and fair about any additional costs, and we’re always happy to discuss these with you or your representative if you have any questions.
